THE SOLUTION
To coincide with a worldwide marketing push for the new OVI maps, Nokia launched a DOOH campaign in Brazil and KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). The campaign was adapted from print artwork and followed an arrow navigating through a cityscape before building into the final frame. Creative was specifically tailored to each market, featuring a local city map within the ‘hero’ handset as well as showcasing the most popular handsets from each region.
GV’s Nokia N97 campaign won the DOOH X Factor contest at Screen Expo’s 2010 DOOH Media Summit. The X Factor style contest was designed to help champion digital OOH creative and find the digital equivalent of iconic billboard posters such as The Economist and Wonderbra ads.
GV’s Dan Dawson was crowned the winner and awarded £10,000 of media space from Candi TV.
